Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to delete data associated with Page Poster, including data obtained through Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta products when you connect those services.
1. Disconnect Meta accounts in Page Poster
- Sign in to Page Poster with your account.
- Open Settings.
- Find Facebook (and Instagram, if linked) and choose Disconnect.
Disconnecting removes the Page access tokens and related connection identifiers we store for posting on your behalf. Content already published on Facebook or Instagram remains on those platforms under your Page or account; delete posts there if you also want them removed.
2. Remove Page Poster from your Meta account
You can also remove Page Poster’s access from Meta:
- Open Facebook → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and Websites).
- Locate Page Poster (or the app name shown in the Meta developer console) and remove it.
When you remove the app, Meta may call our data-deletion callback. We record that request and clear stored Facebook connection data tied to your Meta user id when we can match it.
3. Delete your Page Poster account data
To delete your Page Poster username, uploads, schedules, and remaining configuration, contact your site administrator and request account deletion. Administrators can remove the account from the Admin panel.
If you are unsure who administers your instance, use the contact method provided when your account was created.
4. What we delete
- OAuth tokens and Page identifiers used to call Meta APIs
- Cached Page names and Instagram business account linkage stored for your user
- On full account deletion: media you uploaded, captions, schedules, and app settings for that user
We do not continue to use Meta permissions after you disconnect or after a completed deletion request.
5. Confirmation status
If Meta redirected you here with a confirmation code after an app-removal request, open the status link provided in that response, or ask your administrator with the confirmation code.
